Quoting & RFQ
What information do you need for a quote?
For an accurate quotation, please share:
2D drawing (PDF) and/or 3D file (STEP/IGES)
Material requirements (silicone/rubber type, food contact if needed)
Hardness (Shore A), color (Pantone if available), surface finish
Quantity/annual demand, packaging requirements, and target price (optional)
Acceptance criteria (CTQ dimensions, functional checks) and Incoterms (default: FOB)
How long is your quotation valid?
Our quotations are typically valid for 15 days, unless stated otherwise.
Do you support OEM/ODM and custom designs?
Yes. We support OEM/ODM from concept → drawing → tooling → samples → mass production. If you already have drawings or samples, we can start from there.
What is your typical MOQ?
Our typical MOQ is around 1000 pcs, depending on part size, material, and process requirements. For some projects, we can adjust based on feasibility.
Can you sign an NDA before I share drawings?
Yes. We can sign an NDA before you send confidential drawings, specifications, or project details.
Engineering & Materials
What manufacturing process do you focus on?
We primarily focus on compression molding for custom silicone and rubber parts, especially where stable quality, cost efficiency, and flexible materials are required.
Can you help with material selection?
Yes. Based on your application (temperature, contact media, sealing needs, softness/feel), we can recommend suitable materials and hardness ranges.
Can you match colors?
Yes. We can match colors based on Pantone or sample references. Final color approval is confirmed on sample(s).
What tolerances can you achieve?
Tolerances depend on part geometry, material, and mold design. We typically control critical-to-quality (CTQ) dimensions based on your drawings and agreed inspection methods.
Can you make parts with inserts or overmolding?
For projects requiring inserts or multi-material assemblies, we can evaluate feasibility and propose the best approach based on your design.
Tooling & Samples
Do you provide samples or prototypes?
Yes. We provide samples for validation and approval before mass production.
What is your sampling lead time?
Typical sampling lead time is 3–14 business days, depending on design complexity, material availability, and whether new tooling is needed.
How long does tooling take?
Typical tooling lead time is 10–25 business days, depending on part structure, cavities, and finishing requirements.
Who owns the mold after payment?
If you pay the full tooling cost, the mold is customer-owned. HQSilitech will store and maintain the mold unless otherwise agreed.
How long do you keep molds without orders?
We typically keep molds for up to 24 months without order activity. If there is no activity, we may contact you for instructions or discuss storage/maintenance arrangements.
Can molds be modified after sampling?
Yes. Mold modifications are possible based on sample feedback, but they may impact tooling cost and lead time depending on the change scope.
Production & Quality
What is your default inspection standard?
Our default inspection approach follows a standard AQL level unless you specify a different requirement.
Do you support 100% inspection for critical features?
Yes. We can provide 100% inspection for CTQ features (critical-to-quality points) when required. This may affect pricing and lead time.
Do you have incoming, in-process, and final inspections?
Yes. Our quality control typically includes:
Incoming checks (material/batch verification as needed)
In-process control (first article + key checkpoints)
Final/Outgoing inspection (CTQ re-check, appearance, packaging)
Do you provide traceability or inspection records?
For OEM projects, we can support batch/lot identification and provide inspection records upon request, depending on the project’s requirements.
What is your claim window for quality issues?
Unless otherwise agreed:
Visible defects / quantity issues: report within 7 calendar days after receipt
Functional/fit issues: report within 30 calendar days after receipt
Please include order/lot info, quantities, photos/videos, and measurement data so we can respond quickly.
Packaging & Shipping
What Incoterms do you support?
Our default delivery term is FOB (named port confirmed in the order). Other terms can be discussed if needed.
Can you do custom packaging and labeling?
Yes. We support custom packaging options such as:
Logo printing on packaging
Barcodes / carton labels
Lot ID labeling for traceability (project-based)
How do you protect products during shipping?
We use appropriate inner protection, cartons, and labeling to reduce deformation, contamination, and transit damage based on part characteristics.
Terms, Data & Compliance
What are your payment terms?
Unless otherwise agreed, our standard payment term is 50% deposit before production and 50% balance before shipment.
Do you use Google Analytics or advertising pixels on your website?
No. We do not use Google Analytics (GA4) or advertising pixels such as Meta Pixel/Google Ads on this website.
How long do you keep inquiry data?
We typically retain inquiry information for up to 12 months to support project follow-ups and communication continuity.
Can you meet compliance requirements (e.g., RoHS/REACH/FDA/LFGB)?
We can support compliance requirements based on your project needs. Please specify your target market and standards during RFQ so we can confirm materials and testing options.
